30th April 2012

Well that almost brings me up to date. We arrived back in Vancouver yesterday afternoon and have three more nights here before we fly to the UK. We have thoroughly enjoyed our drive through the Rockies but I must admit it's really nice to have four days in the one spot.
This afternoon we went for a horse drawn carriage ride through Stanley Park here in the West End of Vancouver. This parkland is 1 acre and has some beautiful walking tracks, gardens and play areas. The carriage ride was great but omg it was so cold. It was 14 degrees here today and although that is much warmer than where we have been, the wind chill factor must have been low. Vancouver gets over 200 rainy days per year......I believe from some of you that it feels a bit like that at home at the moment!
Well that's all for now. Will post some pic's of Stanley Park and catch up again tomorrow!

This is the view from the park into the harbour. The white sails in
the background are Canada Place.....havent checked this out yet but will do so.
Check out the floating gas station. I guess this is for ships and seaplanes to refuel.

This is Vancouvers Lady in a wetsuit statue. It was supposed to be
a replica of the mermaid in Copenhagen but they were refused permission
to copy the original......so they put her in a wetsuit instead.

Lots of bulbs in bloom
