Friday 20th April

My apologies for not having updated our blog but we have had a crazy couple of days in LA and have just arrived in Vancouver this afternoon, so this is the first time Ive had the chance to post anything.

Arrived in LA on Tuesday afternoon and by the time we checked into our hotel it was nearly 7pm. We lost another 3 hrs comming from Honolulu to LA. We ventured down to Bubba Gumps for dinner which was quite an experience........

Wednesday morning was an early one as we headed off for Disneyland. We arrived at Disney at around 9am and left the park to walk back to our hotel at nearly midnight! We only had one day so had to pack it all in. We had a fantastic day, went on every single ride and still had to drag Em out when it was time to leave cause she would have done them all again if we let her. She was absolutely exhausted and Mark and I barely coherent!

Wednesday we took a tour around LA. We did Hollywood and the Walk of Fame, Beverly Hills, Sunset Boulevard and sunset strip, did a bit of shopping on Rodeo Drive (window shopping that is) and then went to Universal studios for the rest of the afternoon. The tour was great but we were a little disappointed with Universal. The ride through the actual back lot was good but everything else was a bit average. We reckon Movie world on the Gold Coast is heaps better. Still a great experience though.

Today we left  LA at 2.30 and arrived in Vancouver about 5.30 just in time for "420 Day". What is 420 Day you ask, well its Marajuana free day. Yes thats right, everyone can use marajuana freely through the streets of Vancouver so you can just imagine what its like tonight. The streets are really buzzing!!!
The weather in LA was really nice, around 25-28 degrees which they say is a little warm for this time of year. However Vancouver is still quite cool, just 11 degrees when we stepped off the plane. The overnight temp falling to 1 or 2 degrees. I must say that I am very much looking forward to some cooler weather. Well thats a brief overview of the last few days, so I will leave you with some pics and will blog again tomorrow.
